Marketing Manager

McGoodwin James & Co. is looking for a talented, self-directed Marketing Manager to join our team and manage the marketing activities of our incubated-company portfolio. This position requires prior experience developing and executing effective marketing plans and strategies. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in an exciting business environment that offers potential to grow and develop a valuable career. This position is based in Solana Beach, CA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the development and execution of marketing activities for early-stage web-based companies.
  • Perform competitive research and analysis.
  • Identify, obtain, and analyze marketing metrics.
  • Design and implement SEO and social media campaigns.
  • Manage the design and distribution of marketing support material.
  • Oversee corporate communication activities, including PR.
  • Manage production of audio and video marketing messages / campaigns.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-4 years prior experience in relevant marketing position
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High competency using marketing analytics tools and social media applications
  • Demonstrated skill to build and maintain business relationships
